Marie you were such a kind lovely lady with a great sense of humour. I still can not believe you are no longer with us. I think of you with such fond memories and miss our chats about our National Trust visits and gardening stories. I still have the orchid in my garden that you gave me some years ago and every year when it flowers I think of you. I had the privilege of working with Marie at Siemens from around 2005. Marie was quite simply a kind, pleasant lady who was good company both at work (and at the Toby Carvery meals!) We remember Marie every summer because she brought us a lovely rose for our garden on my retirement and it has flourished over the years. I have no particular religious affiliations but have always believed that if someone dies and you smile, or have a chuckle to yourself, when you remember them, then that is heaven. I smile thinking about the laughs we had over the years and remembering when my daughter April worked with us during the University summer holidays. Seeing April and Marie in the office giggling like a pair of teenagers over something they saw on the TV the previous night.

My dear friend Marie I miss you and am honoured to have had you in my life. I often have you in my thoughts remembering our chats and cream teas. You were such a lovely lady, you never spoke ill of anyone. Forever missed, lots of love Dawn xx

Marie, I think of you every day, and I miss you so much. I miss our frequent messages and chats, your help and support (although when I am really stuck I can still hear you helping me out and talking me through it!) and most of all your friendship. Last time we went for a lovely meal together in August 2020 we vowed to meet up again soon and we never got the chance. Marie, I really miss you and am so shocked and saddened by what has happened. I remember when you came back into the office and we had a big hug, I had been so worried about you. I was so happy and relieved you were back and looking healthier. I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to give you you're pink hand knitted scarf (I came across it when moving house and thought we must meet when restrictions are lifted so I can give it to you). I was flicking through the Avon book the other day and saw a bracelet just like the matching pink ones we both got and had wonderful thoughts of you and the conversations we shared. You loved your son and daughter so much and were always proud of them and their achievements. When you talked about your granddaughter, you're whole face would light up. I will be thinking of you on Sunday and will raise a glass. Shine bright Marie, always in my heart xx
