I had the privilege of working with Marie at Siemens from around 2005. Marie was quite simply a kind, pleasant lady who was good company both at work (and at the Toby Carvery meals!) We remember Marie every summer because she brought us a lovely rose for our garden on my retirement and it has flourished over the years. I have no particular religious affiliations but have always believed that if someone dies and you smile, or have a chuckle to yourself, when you remember them, then that is heaven. I smile thinking about the laughs we had over the years and remembering when my daughter April worked with us during the University summer holidays. Seeing April and Marie in the office giggling like a pair of teenagers over something they saw on the TV the previous night.
